A Different Way of Seeing Childhood

Reggio Inspired Learning that happens in Aprenden Play Preschool is the belief that children are naturally capable, curious, and eager to understand the world around them.

Every environment, relationship, and experience is intentionally designed to nurture Wonder, connect children with Nature, and cultivate Belonging.

Aprenden Play may be the right fit for your family if these
beliefs resonate with your own.

The Hundred Languages of Learning is how children express their thinking through drawing, building, storytelling, movement, music, dramatic play, nature, and countless other forms of expression.

Every language has value because every child deserves the opportunity to communicate their ideas in ways that feel meaningful to them.

The Child as Protagonist

Children follow their natural curiosity, ask meaningful questions, and develop their ideas through exploration.

Adults thoughtfully prepare the environment, provide meaningful materials, and facilitate experiences that nurture Wonder, deepen a connection with Nature, and cultivate Belonging.

Adults observe, document, and provide a rich variety of materials that encourage children to revisit, expand, and share their thinking with others.

Rather than rushing to provide answers, adults observe carefully, listen deeply, and use those observations to prepare meaningful experiences that build on children's interests.

Teachers as Observers

Every space invites children to explore, investigate, and return to ideas that capture their curiosity. Their thinking is visible through artwork, photographs, conversations, models, and projects.

Adults intentionally design beautiful environments where every material has purpose and every invitation encourages Wonder, exploration, and independent thinking.

The Third Teacher

What This Looks Like in Practice

At Aprenden Play Preschool, children don't simply receive information.

They investigate ideas, express their thinking, &
build understanding through meaningful experiences.
